The Academy combines photography education with a large library of downloadable editing tools. Members can stream workshops on shooting, editing and running a photography business, while also downloading presets, Photoshop actions, overlays, digital backgrounds, brushes and templates. New material is added to the library over time.

Not always. Summerana sells some presets, backgrounds, overlays and other collections separately, while the Academy gives members access to a much larger library. If you only want one particular collection, check whether it is available as an individual purchase before joining.

It depends on the product. Summerana currently supports tools for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, Adobe Camera Raw and Evoto, while JPG and PNG overlays or backgrounds can also work in other programs that support layers and blending. Check the individual collection before buying because not every action or preset works with every program.

Yes. Summerana allows photographers to use its assets in finished, flattened images delivered to their own photography clients. You cannot give clients the original Summerana files or resell the presets, overlays, backgrounds, actions or other editable assets themselves.

No. The licence is for the individual purchaser and does not allow the original files, account login or downloads to be shared, gifted, lent or resold. Another photographer would need their own purchase or membership.

No. Academy videos are intended to be streamed through the membership library rather than downloaded or recorded. The downloadable part of the membership is made up of resources such as presets, actions, overlays, backgrounds, brushes and other digital files.

You lose access to the membership library once your paid access ends, including the streaming workshops and products stored there. Summerana recommends downloading and backing up any digital products you want to keep before cancelling. Files you have already downloaded remain on your own computer, subject to Summerana's normal licence terms.

Regular recurring memberships can be cancelled through your account settings before the next renewal. However, Summerana also sells a 12-month payment-plan option that is not treated as a cancellable monthly subscription; those instalments continue for the full payment period and the plan ends automatically after one year. Check which billing option you are choosing before paying.

Generally, no. Summerana treats purchases as final because the products are digital and can be accessed or downloaded immediately. It recommends checking compatibility and asking support questions before buying if you are unsure whether a particular collection will work with your software.

Purchases are accessed through your Summerana account. Downloadable files are stored with the relevant product in the member library, usually as ZIP files, while workshops and tutorials are found in the course area. Summerana also has a Help Center with installation guidance and support if you have trouble finding or opening a product.
